Dodla Dairy’s journey began in 1995 when it was established by D. Sunil Reddy. The company commenced production at its Nellore plant in 1997 and embarked on a series of expansions from 2001 to 2011. Over the years, it strategically positioned production plants in Penumuru, Palamaner, Badvel, Sattenapalle, Tanuku, Tumkur, and another milk production plant and SMP (Skimmed Milk Powder) Plant in Nellore.
In 2014, Dodla Dairy ventured into international operations by acquiring the Lakeside dairy plant in Uganda, Africa, marking the beginning of its global footprint. The company also established a state-of-the-art UHT (Ultra High Temperature) plant in Indargi and a substantial dairy farm in Pulivendula.
Innovations and Expansion
2018 was a milestone year for Dodla Dairy as it introduced its first fully automated dairy plant in Gundrampally, Hyderabad. Simultaneously, the company acquired land for a new processing plant in Rajahmundry. It expanded its product range to include ice cream, implemented SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) across the organization, and continued to prioritize innovation.
In 2019, Dodla Dairy further solidified its position with the launch of a second fully automated dairy plant in Chendurthi, East Godavari. The company expanded its footprint by acquiring KC Dairy, comprising two dairy plants and a 10 MTD (Metric Tons per Day) powder plant in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. Additionally, Dodla Dairy acquired OrgaFeed Pvt. Ltd and M/s Bharthi feed mixing plant near Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Dodla Dairy operates on a robust business model, beginning with the procurement of raw milk. It collects approximately 1.03 million liters of milk per day from 109,670 farmers across 6,771 villages through a network of 6,285 DDCC (Dodla Dairy Community Collection) routes, 272 procurement routes, 254 dairy farms, and 94 chilling centers, as of March 2021.
The company’s processing operations are carried out at 13 locations in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, with a total capacity of 1.70 million liters of milk per day. Notably, the Nellore and Vedasandur plants exhibit daily processing capacities of 15,000 and 10,000 kgs, respectively. These facilities are equipped with automated processing lines that maintain impeccable product quality standards.
Dodla Dairy reaches consumers through an extensive distribution network, selling its products under the Dodla Dairy brand name. The company operates through 40 sales offices, 3,285 distribution agents, and 544 milk product distributors.
